Template projects

• Our users work in varied IT environments and use a multitude of different systems to work collaboratively in their plant projects. The Sovelia template project has been prepared to work well in Vault, ACC and the standard SQL solution. For instructions on how to adapt your project for one of these project types, visit Sovelia Help.
• The Sovelia Plant team has also decided to clean up our offering of template projects to only provide the most updated versions for our users. This means that the Finnish and Norwegian template projects have been removed but can be provided upon request via plant@sovelia.com.
• Selection lists for AFS, Module, Certificate and Fluid groups have been updated to the latest standards. Expired standards remain in the list but have the description “Upphävd”.

Bug fixes ISO Merge/Batch merge/Move

• Previously, the use of dash (-) both as delimiter between subparts in a line number or between a line number and a sheet number could cause merging issues. Now, dash (-) can be used both in the line number and between sheets. 
• The Batch ISO Merge function now works as expected. If isometric drawings are selected from different line numbers, the function will run merge for every unique line number.
• When multiple lines are merged with Batch ISO Merge, all merged ISOs are moved to Merge ISO style or the style chosen in setup.

Recap of new functionality in Sovelia Plant 2025.1 and 2024.2:

• The 2024.2 and 2025.1 releases introduced significant enhancements to annotating Ortho drawings and creating/editing Ortho BOMs. See instructions on Sovelia Help
• Parametric dimensions such as valve lengths or hanger lengths can now be added directly to the database.
• When saving a drawing, insulation will now be visible by default when viewing in NavisWorks. 
• Three new user support features were introduced in the 2024.2 and 2025.1 releases: Help, Submit Ideas, and Report Errors. 
• The Match Pipe Properties function enables specific data to be copied between pipes effortlessly. See instructions on Sovelia Help
• The Sovelia template project has been adapted to support Victaulic specs. 
• Functionality was added to ISO Merge, which ensures Merged ISOs are moved to the project Manager.
• SSG pipe specs have been updated to the 2024-04-29 standards.
• Two new sanitary pipe specs have been introduced.
• A new pipe spec for Reinforced Ladder Cable Trays has been included, and the existing Ladder Cable Tray spec now contains connection components.
