Development of Sovelia Core PLM started close to 30 years ago, when a small team in Finland set out to solve challenges in the manufacturing industry. Those challenges are much the same today: managing product data throughout the product lifecycle and reusing the right data beyond the engineering department.
Since then, Sovelia has grown into a broader solution that fits each company’s specific needs, from productivity tools for CAD design to sales configuration and complete product lifecycle management.
Sovelia customers are located mainly in Northern Europe, the UK, Ireland and the US, with more than 20,000 users worldwide.
The product name has Finnish origins and it comes from the word sovelias, which translates to "appropriate, suitable, fitted".
